Friends!!!!

SO MANY FRIENDS!!!!!

Mike:

Sadly he left Chiang Mai last week on a trip to see his family and return to his former home take care of some business in South Africa. We were SO bummed to see him leave. Badminton, Panoi, drinking Chang, riding up Doi Suthep, and Watchtower study wont be the same without him. But as one last hooray (before we hopefully see him in the states at some point) he treated us and Matthew and Kerry to a lovely night out that at times got a little too crazy!
PA-LEASE.

Next, ASIA:

Yep, I met up with Asia, in where else but...Asia. Crazy to run into your childhood friend from Bend halfway across the world.

AND another: CHERI!!!!

Cheri is officially here! We moved into a new house about two weeks ago, yep a HOUSE! like we are adults or something?? a new house came along with a roommie-and she brought us only the best gift ever, BACKPORCH, oh my goodness how I have missed the most delicious coffee in the world, literally...its SO good. As i would say in Thai: Ca-ffee, Aroy mak mak!!!

Daniel and Bianca:

The "new couple in town"....highly entertaining, and super supportive in service, LOVE IT! One afternoon they led the way in four-wheeling scooter style service. Awesome.

JOE AND KELLY!!!!!!!

Yes, our lovely friends that bring that indescribable 'oh my goodness im so happy to see you, its been way to long, this feels like home' feeling have finally arrived. Unfortunately there stay is going by way to fast...maybe they could just stay a little longer??? Oh I wish, but i'm sure the Sri Lanka branch wouldn't be to happy with us.

On Monday we had an outing to the dentist: good news! All went well, no cavities, yep, squeaky clean :)

We have been filling our days with showing them all our favorite stops, markets, foods, and activities....

The quarry needed a visit too...

Dolphins have made there way into the quarry this time as well???

But in all honesty, more than any new adventure we could take them on, this week with Joe and Kelly has been filled with moments of laughing about old times, talking about the "now" and creating all the potential "maybes" of what the future will hold for all of us....bittersweet. And of course, us foodys have frequently been indulging in all the delicious fruits and veggies available and are creating masterpieces!!

Its funny, no matter what crazy foreign country we are located in, as long as we are together, we seem to end the evening with good food, giggles, pure happiness...and it feels like home <3
