Mom's Here!!!!

Thanks Tyese, for your awesome photography skills....
Yep, my mom actually made it to Asia, I was SO excited to see her! Even though she is going to be here for 3 weeks I'm trying to make EVERY moment count. Including the day she got in..."Yes mom, I know that you just spent the last 42 hours on a plane or in an airport, but no sleep for you!"

She brought presents too, yay! My Grandma & Grandpa know me too well, sending more Backporch for me just in time,
THANK YOU!!!!

After a early morning pick-up from the Airport, breakfast and sight seeing were in order.

We spent some time in one of the Local Markets and Introduced her to a new variation of fruits.

George...this one is for you.

Then off to Doi Suthep and its beautiful view of the city....The air is cool and crisp up there, ummmm I miss mountains.

On the way down we pulled over at one of our favorite waterfalls.

Ruth invited us over for a feast of Lasagna for the trade of Cookies. Deal.

TIGERS!

I had been waiting to do all the "tourist" attractions for when she came. So last week we paid a visit to Tiger Kingdom. I was memorized with watching them play....they...are...SO...cute!

We entered the 'Big' tigers cage, it had four different Tigers, the first two were lazy as could be. However the last one we visited was so feisty! I somehow wedged myself between his backside and  an electric fence. Suddenly it turned around and its Massive face was about 5 inches from mine...Not really having a choice moving, as an electric fence was behind me....my stomach sank as I looked into his big hazel eyes, imaging the worst, (just praying it didn't have the face attacking quality that Tom & Liz's cat Bellow has) but after a good look at me, it turned back around...shew!

Driving back a windy road a half hour out of town we stumbled upon an orchid farm, mom was all for stopping and taking a look.

I was missing service, so I showed her the ropes here. That particular day was hot and sticky as usual. Moo Bans were quiet and not at homes were still not at home...But the air in the car was still uplifting, encouraging. Whether it had to do with the familiar face finally sitting in the seat next to me, or Tyese plopped in the front seat always making me laugh, or even the witty comments made by the older sister driving, paired with the satisfaction of simply doing what we are commanded to despite the response we receive. I can say that even though we walked away needing to jump in a pool to cool down, we were still refreshed.
